Product detailed description

Fimanet TPU belongs to a group of thermoplastic elastomers that excel in their ability to return to their original shape after being stretched or compressed. Unlike brittle materials such as PLA, TPU does not crack, but flexes, making it an ideal material for both industrial and hobby applications.
Key Features
• High elasticity and flexibility: The material is capable of significant deformation (elongation at break of up to hundreds of percent) without permanent damage.
• Abrasion and impact resistance: It perfectly dampens vibrations and resists surface wear, which extends the life of printed parts.
• Chemical stability: It is naturally resistant to oils, fats and many common chemicals.
• Excellent layer adhesion: Thanks to its properties, it creates a very strong connection between layers, which guarantees high strength of the final model in the Z axis.
• Toughness: It retains its properties even at lower temperatures.

Technical parameters and printing recommendations
For best results, it is recommended to adhere to the following settings (values may vary slightly depending on the specific Shore hardness):
Parameter
Recommended value
Nozzle temperature
210 - 250 °C
Bed temperature
40 - 60 °C (or off)
Print speed
15 - 40 mm/s (slower printing recommended)
Extruder type
Direct Drive preferred
Cooling fan
0 - 50% (depending on part geometry)
Application examples
• Industry: Gaskets, straps, shock and vibration absorbers.
• Consumer goods: Protective covers for mobile phones, key chains, shoe soles.
• Accessories: Flexible hinges, handles and toys.
Tips for working with Fimanet TPU
1. Storage: TPU is highly hygroscopic (absorbs moisture). Store it in a dry environment with a desiccant, otherwise there is a risk of "splatter" in the nozzle and riveting.
2. Pad: TPU can stick too strongly to smooth surfaces (e.g. PEI). It is recommended to use a release layer (glue in a stick) to avoid damaging the pad when removing the print.
3. Pressure setting: If you have an adjustable pressure on the feed wheel (extruder), loosen it. Too much pressure can deform the soft filament and jam it in the path.
